The Head for the Cure Foundation was established in 2003 in memory of Chris Anthony, who fought a two-and-a-half-year battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor . Head for the Cure benefits the Chris Anthony Brain Tumor Research Fund at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which subsequently provides funding for the BTTC.
