Get Involved

The BTTC, like many research organizations, relies heavily on public contributions and donations to conduct and pursue its state-of-the-art clinical trials . Fundraising is BTTC's lifeblood. This is where you can get involved. Begin by visiting the Head for the Cure Foundation, BTTC's supporting partner. The Head for the Cure Foundation's signature event, the annual 5k Run & Walk, continues to grow and in 2009 drew 3,500 runners and walkers, a 46 percent increase from 2008.

Fundraising Opportunities

The Head for the Cure Foundation was established in 2003 in memory of Chris Anthony, who fought a two-and-a-half-year battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. Head for the Cure benefits the Chris Anthony Brain Tumor Research Fund at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which subsequently provides funding for the BTTC.

Make a Donation

Head for the Cure events received greater awareness and attracted a record number of participants in 2009, raising $225,000 through a variety of means.

In addition to the many fundraising and participation opportunities through the Head for the Cure, you can make a difference simply by making a donation. It will make a difference in defeating brain cancer.
